EASL Forum accepting applications until Sept 8

The D. Abbott Turner Program in Ethics and Servant Leadership is proud to celebrate the conclusion of its fourth year of programming and to announce the opening of applications for the 2003-2004 EASL Forum.

The beginning of the 2003-2004 academic year brings many changes to the EASL staff. The Center for Ethics welcomes Edward Queen as the new director of the program and Kate O’Dwyer Randall as Assistant Director. The new team looks forward to the opportunity to build on what has been such a successful and exciting program and to receiving applications for this year’s forum.

The EASL Forum begins its fifth year this autumn. Students participating in the in the EASL Forum will have the opportunity to explore the important themes that lie at the core of the program--ethics, vocational development, servant leadership formation, and community commitments.

During its weekly meetings on Thursday night, the Forum provides a structured and interactive environment where the participants can develop their leadership and management skills, struggle with the process of ethical decision-making, explore the questions of person development and the meaning of vocation, and engage in valuable and productive community service. The Forum also gives students opportunities for conversation with community servant leaders and social entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors, including business, medicine, nonprofits, and the arts.

The new director and assistant director look forward to an exciting year of working with Forum participants in growing and developing as leaders serving the common good.

Applications for the EASL Forum currently are available on this website and are due by September 8.
