Program Coordinator

Dr. Gillian Hue is the senior program coordinator for the IMSD project. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience from Washington College in Chestertown, MD.  In 2008, she completed her doctoral research in Neuroscience at Emory University where she studied sleep, circadian rhythms and spinal dopamine and then continued as a postdoctoral fellow in Science Education and Ethics in the Program in Science and Society. Dr. Hue has taught Research Ethics for scientists, and developed curricula to promote science literacy and ethical engagement at a variety of educational levels. Most recently, as Assistant Professor of Psychology at Georgia Gwinnett College, Dr. Hue has taught courses in Neuroscience, Statistics, and Research Design. In addition to her role as Program Associate in the Neuroethics program at Emory, she is also Managing Editor at the American Journal of Bioethics Neuroscience (AJOB Neuroscience). Dr. Hue is committed to enhancing the academic experience of a diverse group of scientists through professional development, mentoring, ethics and communicating science.
