The theater is space in which everyday human experiences are transformed into the prose, songs and gestures of thought provoking story lines. These stories are informed by the individual and collective ethos of the characters. The Ethics & the Arts Initiative at the Center for Ethics has partnered with theatrical organizations around Atlanta to organize events that draw conversations about ethics out of the theater. Whether it is a performance, a reading, or a panel discussion, the purpose of Ethics on the Stage is to create a space for deeper engagement. This type of discussion introduces the theater to the community in a different way and allows the cast, directors, and audience, to inform the play with new meanings.
