Clinical Ethics Seminars

Clinical Ethics Seminars are hosted by the Healthcare Ethics Consortium (HEC) and the Ethics Center. They bring together experts in the health care and academic world to talk about timely and important topics at the intersection of health and ethics.

Seminars are held every month on the fourth Thursday, except during November and December when they are held on the third Thursday.  Owing to COVID-19, we paused on creating and hosting new seminars, but we are ready to start again with virtual events. 

In the coming months, the HEC will offer a series of “Post”-COVID-19 & Ethics webinars that will address ethical concerns and opportunities highlighted during recent months: racial health disparities during COVID-19; moral distress, moral injury, and resilience of health care workers during the pandemic; and ethics as a resource in a continually evolving public health emergency.
