The Public Health Ethics Club, established in 2012, is an interdisciplinary student group that aims to make public health ethics accessible and fun for the Emory community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be an interdisciplinary student group whose members work collaboratively for public health ethics awareness in the Emory community through diverse partnerships, engaging events, intelligent discussion, and social action.

Past Events

Our events touch on a broad range of topics because almost anything has to do with ethics and public health. Last year, we planned and cosponsored the Troy Davis Panel with the Amnesty International Club, cosponsored an Ethics in Photography event with the Global Health Institute, hosted the 2nd-annual Global Health Life Raft Debate, hosted Journal Clubs, and the inaugural Global Health Ethics Participatory Dinner and Discussion. In the future, we plan to bring interesting lecturers to Emory, hold journal clubs and lunch-and-learns, and are in the midst of planning a conference on sexual violence.

Faculty Advisory Committee

Recognizing that ethics requires multiple perspectives, we created an interdisciplinary Faculty Advisory Committee as well. See the About the Faculty Advisory Committee page for more information.
